School building set on fire by hurling petrol bomb

Nov 28, 2015- An unidentified group has set ablaze a building of a boarding school at Sonamai VDC in Mahottari district by hurling a petrol bomb last night.

According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, the group set the building of SM Galaxy English School located in Sonamai-2 on fire.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Binod Silwal said that important documents, stationeries and furniture pieces of the principal’s room were completely destroyed in the fire.

Police said that none noticed the incident in the nighttime as the school was in the distance from the village. Police said that the total loss from the fire was estimated as high as Rs 200,000.
